About this course

You must have successfully completed Programming for AI and Data Analytics in Business before enrolling in this course.

This course covers data mining and predictive modeling in the context of creating value for business. We will study fundamental principles and techniques of data mining by examining real-world examples. Using real data, code, and hands-on learning provides students with a solid grounding in the key areas of machine learning methods. Additionally, students will learn to think critically and in practical terms about the potential business value of these methods, and the challenges they may face in bringing data mining exercises from ideas to business actions.

Students will learn to approach business problems and envision opportunities analytically. They will learn to apply data mining techniques to improve business performance and help make better-informed decisions in a given business environment. Students can formulate problems based on real-world data and develop and evaluate predictive models using the various data mining techniques discussed in the course.
