Overview
This online course is for learners who plan to teach in English and would like to improve their teaching skills. In this course, you will learn how to adapt to teaching English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) and pronounce some basic American English sounds.
About this course
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Understand the cultural issues facing ITAs and bridge the gap between you and your students
- Use the International Phonetic Alphabet to improve your English pronunciation and comprehension
- Pronounce voiced and voiceless sounds and the final more clearly
- Understand and produce common English reductions
- Prepare for an effective and engaging first day of class in the courses you teach
