This online course is for learners who have achieved an advanced level of the English language or have taken Academic Analysis. In this course, learners will apply critical thinking skills to complex texts in order to produce their own pieces of writing and presentations. They will receive instruction in the characteristics of persuasion in academic writing and speaking as well as instruction in the language skills necessary in university coursework. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will understand the aspects of persuasion, and how best to organize summary and response compositions.
