Overview
The Certificate in Leadership Excellence prepares professionals to lead with integrity, build trust, and inspire others through values-driven leadership. Grounded in character-driven leadership principles, the program explores the relationship between values, ethics, trust, and leadership in today’s complex organizational and global environments.
Led by former U.S. Army Lieutenant General Benjamin Freakley, whose leadership experience spans more than 36 years in the military and over a decade in higher education, the certificate combines practical leadership insight with real-world perspectives across public, private, nonprofit, and international settings.
Learners will explore both the “leader within” and the environments in which leadership occurs by examining personal values, ethical decision-making, leadership responsibility, and the importance of understanding the people and communities they lead.
