This course examines how global health experts bridge the gap between the best practices of global health research and the real-world intricacies of global health practice. In this course, we will identify the strategies utilized for global health surveillance, monitoring, and research. Learners will become familiar with some of the common ways global health data is disseminated, and how evidence-based practices can be translated into the basis for effective policy. Learners will explore how this cycle is iterated at a global scale, especially in times of global health crises or disaster response. Throughout, we will share examples of how health professionals can engage with this process at multiple levels.
