Overview
This hands-on course introduces image editing and manipulation through Adobe Photoshop. Learners will develop proficiency in digital image processing while exploring computing fundamentals, raster graphics concepts, and additive color theory. The course emphasizes digital photo editing, image composition, and visual effects techniques to solve design problems across various professional contexts.

What's Included:
This course is offered as a series of modules, with content broken down into key topic areas. These modules are meant to be completed in sequential order. In each of these modules, you will see a variety of content:
- Recorded lectures introducing the software, key tools, and how to use them;
- Step-by-step tutorials, guiding you through image creation,
- Recommended readings and resources
- Assignments allowing you to reflect and respond to what you've learned,
- Quizzes to summarize module content.

This course requires a license for Adobe Photoshop. Monthly subscriptions are available through Adobe Creative Cloud. If you have an existing ASURITE account, you can request free access to Adobe Creative Cloud by completing the Student ASU Adobe Request Form: https://tech.asu.edu/adobe-cc.
In this course we’re going to cover some of the program basics, explore graphic storytelling techniques, and provide opportunities for you to hone your design voice through mood boards and imagery. This course is part of the MIA+: Introduction to Interior Architecture program. When all courses in the program are completed, learners will fulfill the portfolio requirements for applying to the ASU Master of Interior Architecture 3-year degree, provided they hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent outside of interior design.
